Today, a bilateral meeting was held in Nizhny Novgorod between a delegation from the Republic of Senegal, led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Stéphane Sambou, and Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Dmitry Starostin. The discussions focused on establishing long-term cooperation in the fields of industry and agriculture.
The Senegalese side expressed interest in acquiring unmanned aerial systems (UAS) produced in the Nizhny Novgorod Region by companies such as UAVPROF, TimVera, and the ANO “Scientific and Production Center for UAS of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.”
During the meeting, the parties also agreed to establish sister-city relations between Nizhny Novgorod and Touba, the second-largest city in Senegal, with which strong business ties have already been developed.
At the end of the day, the delegation visited the MERISTEMA agricultural innovation center. In September, the company made its first fertilizer deliveries to Senegal and presented its production facilities to potential partners.
